Akwa Ibom governor constitutes new boards; former Commissioner, AKHA member make list

Akwa Ibom State Governor, Mr. Udom Emmanuel has made appointments into boards in the state. Making the announcement on behalf of the state government, the Secretary to State Government, Sir Etekamba Umoren said the governor has appointed Engr Etido Inyang and Hon. Ekere Afia as Chairman, Board of Ibom Power Company and Member, Board of Internal Revenue respectively.

Etido Inyang, a civil engineer is the immediate past Commissioner for Special Duties while Uyo born politician, Hon. Ekere Afia is a former member of the Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly.

In the press release obtained by TheMail Newspaper, Ikot Ekpene born politician and popular social media user, Leo Leo Umanah made the list as Member of Board of Internal Revenue. Mr. Okon Okon is to serve as Chairman of Board of Internal Revenue Service, while Elder Nse Atang and Ikemesit Ekpro will serve as member and secretary respectively.

To serve in the Ibom Power Company board as members are Barr Uwem Ekanem, Hon. Anyang Anyang and Elder Ntiense Inyangmme.

The Governor made one appointment into the Board of Pioneer Newspaper, with Mr Umoette Umoette emerging Managing Director.

Other boards and commissions are expected to be constituted in due course.
