The Immediate Past Commissioner for Commerce, Trade and Investment, Barr. Emmanuel Enoidem has returned to Akwa Ibom after travelling to United Kingdom to obtain further training on leadership.
Supporters of the former Commissioner had stormed the Akwa Ibom International Airport on Monday to welcome him from a short training on Leadership at London Business School, United Kingdom. The train followed him to his residence at Shelter Afrique for what turned out as a carnival.
Addressing his visitors, Barr. Enoidem urged them not to preach the gospel of division, rather preach the gospel of inclusiveness.
Barrister Emmaneul Enoidem said people in our clime do not celebrate leaders who are out of power but with the huge crowd in his compound , it was safe to say that the people have decided to change the course of history.
He thanked the Governor Udom Emmanuel for supporting his short study abroad. He called on the people to continue to support Governor Emmanuel whom he said has eight years to be on the saddle.
Barrister Enoidem reiterated that he has no ambition to return to the State Exco, noting that his plan is to contest for the office of National Legal Adviser of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) when the time comes.
He said that he remains thankful to God for making him the longest serving commissioner with an uncommon record of nine years six months. He warned politicians against pursuing things at all cost, stating that any ambition that does not have God in it should not be pursued.
The reception was attended by friends and well-wishers of the Commissioner, especially those who have benefitted from his large-heartedness.
