TheMail can authoritatively report that Commissioner for Trade, Commerce and Investment, Barr Emmanuel Enoidem has resigned from the state executive Council.
Enoidem served as a very influential Commissioner during the 8year reign of Godswill Akpabio as governor, but he has seen his influence in the state exco and politics in the state in general wane to an abysmal level in the administration of current governor, Mr. Udom Emmanuel.
This has finally proven right the speculations that Enoidem is unhappy in/with the government after playing a key role in its emergence but in the turn of events, he was relegated to the background.
TheMail learnt that the Etim Ekpo born politician is expected to emerge the National Legal Adviser of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) at Wednesday’s National Convention holding in Port Harcourt. The position was micro-zoned to Akwa Ibom.
The PDP National Legal Adviser slot is seen as a way of easing him out of the system without necessarily creating much fuse.
He has been a law lecturer at the University of Uyo and Treasurer of the Akwa Ibom State Chapter of the PDP.
A staunch supporter and founding member of PDP, Barr Enoidem played crucial roles in the emergence of all the governors of the state from 1999 till date.
