He said that the Governor has done enough to win the hearts of Mkpat Enin people, while describing the ongoing road construction project at Ikot Usop- Ikot Edeghe-Ikot Ekpuk and the Coconut Refinery all sited in Mkpat Enin Local Government Area as life touching projects that will bring about development and job creation to the youths of the area when completed.
“Governor Udom is a man that means well for the whole State and of course we all know that ONNA Local Government Area is our brother, so it will be out of place for us to support someone else as this will go a long way in distorting the political calendar. Aside from being our neighbours, the Governor has also been able to deliver on his campaign promises by bringing in some industries which has helped in creating employment for our teeming youths. We know the administration is just one year and few months, there is still time for him to do even more. So we need to remain resolute in our support for him”.
He concluded by saying that the People of Mkpat Enin have not been left out by Governor Udom Emmanuel in terms of appointment as several sons and daughters of the area have been given vital appointments to manage in the present government.
In their response, the youths of the area described Eric Ekwere as a young man with a good heart who means well for the people of Mkpat Enin and promised to work and support the policies of the Governor even beyond 2019.

He urged the people of the area to be law abiding, prayerful, industrious and to embrace the DAKKADA philosophy of the Governor.
He said that the Governor was not playing politics with the development of the grassroot, but that the people must do all within their powers to protect government projects when they are sited in their various communities as this will motivate the government to bring more projects
