I don’t know how it would have been had APC won Akwa Ibom – Ayo Fayose

fayose22222Described as the irrepressible governor, Mr. Ayo Fayose of Ekiti State has said he doesn’t know how the situation in Akwa Ibom would have been had the All Progressives Congress succeeded in getting a nullification of the governorship election of the state. He spoke at the Interdenominational Thanksgiving service for the Supreme Court victory organized by the Akwa Ibom State governor.

Speaking on behalf of the PDP governors who were present at the event on Wednesday at the Nest of Champions, Mr. Fayose said “I am very privileged to address this gathering on behalf of my colleagues. There is nothing much to say than to celebrate. Like the pastor (Bishop David Oyedepo) said, it is a celebration of light over darkness. When I got into this premises and I saw this crowd I was very happy. I don’t know how they could have explained; I don’t know what the situation could have been in this state if it had turned otherwise. But in every situation, we have to bless the living God that it did not go the other way because the power of the people is greater than that of those of us in power. Whatever we do, the people come first. Akwa Ibom people and Niger Delta belt, I say Niger Delta belt.

“When you see the face of Wike, when I see him talk on television, I say this one has pepper inside it. When you look at Bayelsa (state governor), we will all meet there on Sunday, it is going to be another celebration. If we put our house together, if we stay together and put the past behind us we will get back our inheritance.

“It is our inheritance, taken by deception, taken by propaganda, taken by hidden agenda but this is our local agenda.

“I want to felicitate, I want to rejoice, I want to stand up and say congratulations my brother, the young, dynamic, energetic, governor of Akwa Ibom State, Mr Udom Emmanuel. Congratulations.

“You don’t need anyone to tell you or tell anyone that you are loved and that this is the home of PDP. We are in the boat together, we will stand by you, we will win together with you. All of us in this generation of PDP will make a difference. It is a time to reflect, and after the reflection we are going to take back our inheritance. The Lord will bless the people of Akwa ibom, the Lord will be with you. On behalf of my brother governors, once again I say congratulations and God bless you, and God bless you, and God bless you.”
