The men of the Nigerian Police Force, acting on the orders of the IGP have placed the Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Mr Udom Emmanuel, Governor Ayo Fayose of Ekiti, Nyesom Wike of Rivers and other PDP governors on house arrest.
TheMail Newspaper reporter who is live in Port Harcourt reports that the Police sealed off the Govt House, Port Harcourt preventing PDP governors from leaving to Sharks Stadium, venue of their National Convention, effectively placing them under house arrest.

The security agents subsequently attacked the convoy of Governor Nyesom Wike whilst trying to prevent him from leaving his official residence.

Security agents used an Armoured Personnel Carrier (APC) to smash into Gov Nyesom Wike’s convoy.

From all indications, the convention may still go on as there are plans to move delegates to Adoke Amiesiemaka Stadium.
