PPDF Coordinator to Coordinate Blue Communities in English West/Central Africa

The Coordinator of Peace Point Development Foundation, Comrade Umo Isua-Ikoh has been nominated and confirmed as the coordinator of the Blue Communities in the English speaking countries of Western and Central Africa.
According to a release by Blue Community Africa on Tuesday, although Isua-ikoh’s key area of focus is Nigeria, his coordination will include the Blue Community in Sierra Leone, Ghana, Liberia, Gambia and Guinea-Bissau.
The Blue Community Africa Chapter is a continental platform where shared commitment to water justice, sustainability, and ecological integrity finds both voice and action. It is a space for faith-based organizations, communities, academic institutions, and civil society to get together to advocate for the protection of Africa’s water sources, promoting responsible use, and educating future generations on the sacred value of water.
The release noted that the reason for the appointment of coordinators across the region is to respond to the network’s rapid growth and allow for further development.
Reacting to the appointment, the Coordinator of Peace Point Development Foundation, Comrade Umo Isua-Ikoh thanked the Blue Community Africa for the opportunity to contribute his quota to protect Africa’s water sources.
He said ” Water is an essential aspect of human existence hence the need for its use to be governed by principles, equitably distributed and reasonably used and treated with care for posterity.
“This appointment is a wake-up call on my part and the organization I represent – Peace Point Development to do more in defending water and its resources globally.”
Isua-Ikoh assured that PPDF will use its reach across the region under his coordination to ensure plausible reforms in the use of water.
