UNIUYO lecturer, Uduak Inyang bags N5m research support funding from RHAB-YESS

A Lecturer in the Department of Insurance and Risk Management, University of Uyo, Mr. Uduakobong Inyang, has bagged a Research Funding Support from the Rt. Hon. Aniekan Bassey Youth Entrepreneurship Support Scheme (RHAB-YESS) Foundation.
RHAB-YESS Foundation is an initiative of the Senator representing Uyo Senatorial District, Senator Aniekan Bassey.
A letter signed by the Foundation’s Director of Programmes and External Relations, Darlington Udobong and addressed to Mr. Inyang, announces Five Million Naira as total worth of the Funding Support.
According to the Foundation, the funding is to assist Mr. Inyang in his academic research works, especially, journal publications that can drive sustainable development in Akwa Ibom and Nigeria.
The Foundation also notes that the funding can be accessed within a year for at least, five research works that are entrepreneurial and community development driven.
“We have ardently followed your research outputs published in high impact International Journals and there is no doubt that the findings of your research have the potential to proffer practical solutions to foster development in Akwa Ibom State and Nigeria. Sequel to this, we are pleased to inform you of our decision to commit funds as Research Support Funding to enable you achieve the objectives of conducting research that impacts growth and development at the household and community level as well as the entrepreneurial space in Akwa-Ibom State and Nigeria.”
“This funding can be used in facilitating the research process as well as communication and dissemination of your research findings through journal publications. Such publication must acknowledge RHAB-YESS Foundation as the funding source for your research work.”
“The total worth of this funding is Five million Naira (N5,000,000.00) to be accessed for at least five academic research works that are community and entrepreneurial development driven within a period of one year with effect from the date of this offer”, the letter reads.
TheMail Newspaper reports that in 2021, Mr. Uduak Inyang, was honoured by the West African Insurance Companies Association (WAICA), after being listed among top three finalists in the Association’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Competition.
Uduakobong Inyang, a Right-Choice Scholar Awardee, is currently studying for his Doctoral Degree at the Enugu State University of Technology, Enugu.
