2023 guber: Umo Eno aims veiled attack at Onofiok Luke
Commissioner for Lands and Water Resources, Pastor Umo Eno on Thursday aimed a veiled attack at Member Representing Etinan Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Onofiok Luke.
Umo Eno who is the aspirant backed by the incumbent governor of the state aimed the veiled dig at Onofiok, a former Speaker of the State House of Assembly during his consultation visit to the Uyo Senatorial District Elders Forum.
While addressing the gathering, Pastor Eno vowed never to abandon his supporters and run to Harvard even if he fails to win the governorship election.
It could be recalled that one of the contenders for the governorship seat, Barr. Onofiok Luke had in a trending online video (which TheMail Newspaper has confirmed its authenticity) said if he doesn’t succeed at the governorship election, he intends to go back to private law practice or travel outside the country for a program in Harvard.
“I don’t intend to perpetuate myself in political office. That is why I am not negotiating for anything. Governorship or nothing. It finishes and I don’t become, I go back to my chambers, leverage on my support here and then work with people or I decide to go for 2 years program in Harvard”, Onofiok said in the video.
