Clement Isong Foundation Announces Postponement of 6th Clement Nyong Isong Memorial Lecture
Clement Isong Foundation (CIF) has announced the postponement of the 6th Clement Nyong Isong Memorial Lecture, earlier scheduled to hold on Thursday, November 13, 2025, at Ibom Hotel and Golf Resort, Uyo, Akwa Ibom State.
In a statement issued by the Foundation’s Board of Trustees, the decision to reschedule the event follows recent developments affecting the schedule of the Keynote Speaker and other principal dignitaries, whose participation is integral to the success of the annual memorial.
The Foundation expressed sincere regret for any inconvenience the postponement may cause and extended appreciation to invited guests, partners, and the general public for their understanding and continued support.
“The Clement Nyong Isong Memorial Lecture is a national platform for reflection on leadership, economic governance, and public service — values embodied by the late Chief (Dr.) Clement Nyong Isong, CFR. This brief postponement will allow us to host an event that truly reflects the depth of his enduring legacy,” the statement read.
According to the statement, a new date for the event will be announced in due course, following consultations with key dignitaries and stakeholders.
The 6th edition of the lecture, themed “Sustainable Energy Transitions in Nigeria: Governance and Reforms for Economic Resilience,” marks the 25th posthumous anniversary of the late Dr. Clement Isong, former Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria and erstwhile Governor of Cross River State.
The Foundation reaffirmed its commitment to advancing the ideals of integrity, scholarship, and visionary leadership for which Dr. Isong is remembered.
