Be your number one supporter – Most Charming Girl in Africa winner charges young Models
The Winner of the 2023 edition of Most Charming Girl in Africa pageantry, Queen Abasiodiong Emenyi has tasked aspiring, and up-and-coming models never to relent in the quest to achieve their dreams of becoming bigger Models by being their number one supporter even when no one believes in them.
She made the remarks while speaking with TheMail Correspondent after her emergence as a winner at an event held at Bae Arena on Sunday, 30 April 2023 in Uyo.
She recounted that although the pageantry world is filled with discouraging moments, it is still highly competitive and rewarding, urging aspiring models not to give up on their dreams.
Queen Emenyi noted that although there were times when she doubted her guts, her passion alone was what kept her going and her believe in God that everything was possible irrespective of the hurdles encountered saw her through.
She said: ‘‘it has been an amazing experience so far, and I’m so grateful to God for the grace and the success, and also to myself because it all starts with believing in yourself and I have always been a great supporter of myself because if I wasn’t involved it wouldn’t have been a reality for me, if I didn’t contest I wouldn’t have won.
‘‘I like to tell everyone who wants to go into modeling; first, you must have the passion and then believe in yourself and in God, and in what you want to do. Be your number one supporter,’’ she charged.
Glory Asukwo, winner of Most Gorgeous Girl in Nigeria noted that her emergence is a step in the right direction as it will afford her the opportunity to touch lives through humanitarian services, stating that she has incredible plans of reaching the very vulnerable persons in society, especially girls and children.
Others who also expressed their joy for emerging victorious include; Uwaoma Elendu, who was crowned Most Charming Girl in Africa, Universe noted that it feels different to have the crown adorned on her head as it signifies a defining moment. Aside being a student of biomedical technology at the University of Port Harcourt, she intends to go into full-fledged modeling and to stand out. She poured encomiums on her mother for being her best supporter.
Peace Eshiet emerged as Miss Gorgeous Girl in Nigeria Culture and Tourism, Peace Ntuen got the crown as Most Gorgeous Girl in Nigeria, International, and Jacinta Anuobi emerged as Most Charming Girl in Africa Ambassador.
Mr Ezra Bassey, Director of Ezy-B movie-music production and modeling agency gave insight into what winners are to get, namely; a trip to South Africa and 2 laptop computers for the two overall winners, Nollywood featuring contract, and a salary of 50,000 Naira monthly for the 6 winners running for a period of 6 months.
Mr. Bassey appreciated the managing Director of Bae Arena, Migaty Hotels and Suites for the support during and after the event, Guinness Nigeria PLC, Best Liqueur drink, and Dowell Company for making the event a successful one.
