…as Ini Ememobong, Iniobong Essien lead MPM in Ibiono LGA
As the Maintain Peace Movement inaugurates its Chapter in Ibiono Ibom Local Government Area, the Director General of the movement, Barr. Emmanuel Enoidem has advised the people of area to pray for God’s favour if they are desirous of producing the next Governor of Akwa Ibom State.
The Peace movement Director gave the advice yesterday at Okoita, the headquarters of Ibiono Ibom Local Government while inaugurating the Steering Committee for the Ibiono Chapter.
According to him, the two Local Governments (Itu and Ibiono) have the responsibility of praying and seeking God’s grace to be favoured in Governor Udom Emmanuel’s choice of Succeorsor, if they want to produce Governor by 2023.
It could be recalled that recently, Itu/Ibiono Federal Constituency was making news headlines over their unanimous adoption of Dr. Iniobong Essien as their preferred choice for the 2023 Governorship election.
Others who are said to be interested in the 2023 Governorship race from the Federal Constituency are Senator Bassey Albert, Mr. Akan Okon, Mr. Gabriel Ukpe, Comrade Ini Ememobong among others.
Addressing the people of Itu/Ibiono, the MPM DG said the Maintain Peace Movement which is a pro PDP group is ready to stand by any aspirant that God will reveal to the grand Patron of the group, Governor Udom Emmanuel ahead of the 2023 Governorship election in the state in as much as that aspirant is from Uyo Senatorial District where Itu and Ibiono Local Government Areas are included.
Speaking shortly after his inauguration as the Cordinator of MPM in Ibiono, Ini Ememobong who is the Commissioner for Information in Akwa Ibom State assured of the commitment of the Ibiono chapter of the MPM to the ideals of the movement, noting that the message of the MPM is boldly engraved in the area.
In his part, the Secretary of the movement in Ibiono, Dr. Iniobong Essien, said Ibiono people are ready and prepared to champion the course of the the Peace Movement in compliance with the Governor’s direction ahead of the 2023 Governorship election and therefore assured the state leadership of the MPM of total support and cooperation of Ibiono people.
Also speaking, Senator Bassey Albert said he completely aligns with the idea behind the formation of the Maintain Peace Movement and also share in the sentiments of the group, even as he vehemently agitated for the governorship position to go to Itu-Ibiono federal constituency.
