The Maintain Peace Movement (MPM), a campaign structure set up for the successorship of Governor Udom Emmanuel has sacked its Etim Ekpo coordinator, Hon. Uduot Jack.
Hon. Uduot Jack’s ouster is predictable as it is not unconnected to his recent verbal attacks directed at the National Chairman of MPM, Barr. Emmanuel Enoidem.
He has been replaced with current member representing Etim Ekpo/Ika in the state house of Assembly, Hon. Mfon Idung.
“The National Executive Committee of the Maintain Peace Movement has approved the appointment of Rt. Hon. Mfon Idung as the new Coordinator of the movement in Etim Ekpo Local Government Area.
“Rt. Hon. Mfon Using whose appointment takes immediate effect replaces the former Coordinator, Mr Uduot Jack who has been relieved of his appointment.
“The Movement appreciates the services of the outgone Coordinator, Mr Uduot Jack and congratulates the new Coordinator, Rt. Hon. Mfon Idung and charges him to bring his wealth, knowledge and experience to bear in his new task”, the MPM announced in a public notice signed by its Secretary General, Prince Enobong Uwah.
The ousted coordinator, Uduot is a former loyalist of Enoidem who is the immediate past National Legal Adviser of PDP.
TheMail Newspaper reports that in the widely circulated video of a diatribe aimed at Enoidem, Uduot Jack said “Enoidem wants to reign forever….he must leave the stage now”.
Uduot and Godson Uwah, both ex-Council chairmen in Etim Ekpo who were in Enoidem’s political family have moved against their estranged leader. They are both projecting interests that do not go down well with Mr. Enoidem.
