Ikot Ekpene Senatorial District Youth Leaders Declare Support for Governor Emmanuel’s Succession plan

As the steam for the 2023 gubernatorial election continues to gather momentum, the youth leaders of Ikot Ekpene Senatorial District have pledged to support the succession plan of Governor Udom Emmanuel.
The youth leaders made their stance known in a communiqué signed by 54 youth leaders and issued after an enlarged meeting held on Saturday, August 7, 2021, in Ikot Ekpene.


The Ikot Ekpene Senatorial District Youth Leaders comprise of Youth stakeholders, Youth Caucus, Youth Council, village Youth and Dakkada Youth.
They noted that they are poised to support Governor Udom Emmanuel’s completion agenda, as well as his succession plan.


“We reaffirm our unalloyed and unequivocal support to HisExcellency’s completion agenda, as well as his succession plan”, they said.


The Ikot Ekpene Senatorial District Youth Leaders called on the youths of other Senatorial Districts in the State to join them in their support of the governor’s programmes insisting that no meaningful progress can be achieved in an atmosphere of disunity.

They equally commended the Akwa Ibom State Governor over what they described as superlative performance and astounding leadership of the State.
The Youth Leaders maintained that they are committed, steadfast and undaunted to the unity and development of Akwa Ibom State.


Part of the Communiqué reads “That we resound and re-echo the charge of His Excellency, Governor Udom Emmanuel to the Akwa Ibom people in generaland the youth of the state in particular, that they throng out enmasse for the ongoing voters revalidation and registration exercise.


” That we pledge our continued respect to the leaders and elders of our Senatorial District and indeed the entire State in tandem with our age-long tradition.”
Some of the stakeholders of the area present at the meeting were: Commissioner for Youth and Sports, Mr Monday Uko, Commissioner for Trade and Investment, Prince Ukpong Akpabio, Chairman, Akwa Ibom State Environmental Protection and Waste Management Agency, Prince Ikim, and Executive Director, Enforcement and Recovery of the Akwa Ibom State Internal Revenue Service, Mr Leo Umana.
