A group known as Ikot Ekpene Senatorial District Builders Forum has opted for the Deputy Inspector General of Police, Udom Ekpoudom rtd, as the best fit for the Ikot Ekpene Senatorial  District (ISD) Seat in the National Assembly come 2023.

The group disclosed this to newsmen during their meeting in Ikot Ekpene Local Government Area last weekend.

Speaking for the group, the Coordinator, Adede Uko Idiong said the choice of the former DIG for the senate seat is hinged on the fervent need for holistic representation of the entire interest of the youth, women and elders of ISD at the Senate, which is yet to be achieved.

Idiong described Ekpoudom as a thorough breed vested with the requisite understanding of the statutory tasks of a lawmaker and a strategist who is fully aware of the immediate and age-long plights of the people. Idiong submitted that  as a man with no trackrecord of failure even during his days in active service to the nation, the former DIG will strongly protect the people’s interest.
