 Ini Adiakpan Donates Sewing Machines to Apprentices, Doles out Rice, Cash to Esit Eket Communities 

 

…Salutes beneficiary of her scholarship scheme over varsity graduation 

 

The immediate Past Commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Welfare, Dr Ini Adiakpan has distributed six sewing machines with equipment to beneficiaries in Esit Eket local government area of Akwa Ibom State.

 

Dr Adiakpan made the presentation on Tuesday, January 21, 2025 at Ekpene Obo Community in Esit Eket during a Thank You/ empowerment visit to her Ward, urging the recipients to make good use of the equipment.

 

The donor who had earlier trained the beneficiaries in fashion design, commended them for their zeal in learning the craft and their desire to put to use what they have learnt, She assured that she will continually support them periodically.

 

The beneficiaries of the sewing machine are Emmanuel Atata, Gideon Udoh, Happiness Anietie, Victor Bassey, Imaobong Okon Friday, Ubong Nyoho.

The Academic turned politician lauded members of Esit Eket Ward 1 for their continuous support for Governor Umo Eno, herself and other public officers.

 

She appealed for more support for the Governor as he works towards the actualisation of the ARISE Agenda of his administration.

 

The Former Commissioner who made cash and rice donations to different villages in the ward used the occasion to present one of the beneficiaries of her free educational grant, Miss Esther Sunday, to the Ward.

The elated Miss Sunday, a Mathematics graduate of the Akwa Ibom State University, thanked Dr Adiakpan for her support to enable her educational goals from start to finish, praying God to bless her and continue to place her on a pedestal that God will continue to use her to bless others.

 

Dr. Adiakpan later visited Life-Bridge Home at Idung Anyiang, an Orphanage home under her care where she accommodates, feeds and trains vulnerable children. The excited children who received Dr. Adiakpan whom they described as their “Mother” shared some moments of joy with her, as she encouraged them to be cool headed, respectful and study hard.

The event was graced by the Ward Councillor, Ward Chairman of PDP, party stakeholders, government appointees, women and youths, Chiefs including APC Chieftains, Hon. Urua Urua Akpe, Princess Godsown Udoito, among dignitaries.
