PDP Zonal Publicity Secretary Pays Working Visit to Oro Federal Constituency, Lauds Gov Eno’s Leadership Style

The South-South Zonal Publicity Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Prince Etim Isong, on Thursday, February 19, 2026, embarked on his first official working visit to the Oro Federal Constituency in Akwa Ibom State.
The visit, which brought together PDP stakeholders across the constituency, was aimed at strengthening internal cohesion and reinforcing the party’s structures at the grassroots level.
During an interactive session with PDP Chapter Chairmen and other critical stakeholders, Prince Isong reaffirmed the party’s steadfast commitment to deepening democracy and sustaining good governance across the country.
“The PDP remains strong and viable in the country despite the challenges we are currently facing. We are confident that we will bounce back as the largest political party in Africa,” he stated.
Isong emphasized the need for unity, discipline, and loyalty among members, noting that a strong and united party remains the foundation for electoral success and effective leadership.
The zonal spokesperson also used the opportunity to pass a vote of confidence on the administration of Umo Eno, commending the governor’s developmental strides and people-oriented policies in Akwa Ibom State.
“The fact that someone belongs to another party does not necessarily mean that everything he does is wrong. Governor Umo Eno was in the PDP before joining the APC for reasons best known to him.
“We in the PDP believe that Governor Umo Eno is performing very well. Politics should go beyond partisanship.
“Opposition is not about opposing and criticizing everything the government does for the sake of it. We believe that Governor Umo Eno has performed very well, and this is evident for all to see.
“I want to pass a vote of confidence on the Governor of Akwa Ibom State, His Excellency, Pastor Umo Eno. As PDP members in this state and across the zone, we are solidly behind him and appreciate the good job he has been doing in Akwa Ibom State,” he said.
He described Governor Eno’s leadership as inclusive and impactful, adding that the visible projects and reforms across sectors have continued to justify the overwhelming support of the people.
Prince Isong further assured party members in Oro Federal Constituency of the continued support of the zonal and national leadership, urging them to remain steadfast and committed to the ideals of the PDP. He expressed optimism that with sustained unity and grassroots mobilization, the party would consolidate its achievements and maintain its stronghold in the state and the South-South region at large.
Honourable Philomena Jonathan Esubok, the South-South Zonal Woman Leader of the PDP, appreciated the Zonal Publicity Secretary for consistently identifying with his people. She noted that his visit would not only strengthen the party at the grassroots but also promote unity and stability within the PDP.
She also led the presentation of a community service award to Prince Isong from the Uboro-Oro Youth Council in recognition of his outstanding contributions to the development of his community and his people.
