Sports development: Akwa United receives Akan Udofia in camp, unveils expansive motivation package for the team
The Chairman, Management and Team members of Akwa United football club today received Akwa Ibom Businessman, politician and philanthropist- Mr Akanimo Udofia at their Uyo camp. The 5-Star Ambassadors of Akwa Ibom expressed their appreciation for the support from the International Businessman and Sports enthusiast.
The Chairman of Akwa United Elder Paul Bassey appreciated the motivational attributes of Mr Udofia as a major factor in the harvest of goals in the NPFL title decider and urged other well spirited Akwa Ibomites to emulate the qualities of Mr Akan Udofia
In his response Mr Udofia acknowledged the contributions of the Udom Emmanuel Government in Sports Development and enjoined members of his entourage to rally greater support for the Team. He announced an additional donation of N1million for the victory over the Algerian Club side …
Mr Scott Tommey announced another N1million to the Team and Management with several other contributions totally another N1million from members of the Akprosperity Team.
High point of the visit was the presentation of a 5 Million naira cheque, being a redemption of a promise made during the NPFL Title decider in August, and a pledge of another $20,000 to spur the Nigerian Champions to victory at the CAF Championship 2nd leg encounter this weekend.
